Rhode Island’s world-class blues band Roomful of Blues celebrate their 45th anniversary with “45 Live” captures their usually sweaty live set. Roomful will be heading out again for a fresh round of touring in support of the record. Rapper Aaron Dontez Yates, Kansas City’s Tech N9ne is going all out for his 13th studio album “Something Else” (Strange Music) releasing it in a deluxe “All Access Edition” CD/DVD including three bonus tracks, a making-of DVD, and a limited edition tour laminate. Yates will be touring straight through Canada in August. Alberta’s Jaydee Bixby, five years after appearing in the fifth season of Canadian Idol, has released his third record “Work In Progress”.

In the midst of a lengthy string of dates on the Vans Warped Tour, Ohio post-hardcore band Like Moths to Flames release their sophomore studio effort “Eye For A Eye”. Rise Records label-mates Hands Like Houses and Secrets also have new releases today. Warp Records’ Mark Pritchard has put out his first solo EP “Ghosts” after working as half of electronic duo Africa Hitech with Steve Spacek. Nuclear Blast Records have released Hypocrisy’s debut and sophomore records for the first time in North America on a double CD. The remastered deluxe edition “Penetralia + Osculum Obscenum” also features bonus live tracks from the Swedish death metal band.

Heat wave… too hot to type! The Hush Sound return from a hiatus that began in 2008 with the “Forty Five” 7″, featuring hit single ‘Not A Stranger’, via Pipe & Hat. Egyptian trance duo Aly & Fila follow up their 2010 debut with “Quiet Storm” and it’s hit list of featured artists. Chicago’s Mark Farina has reached the seventh installment in his ‘Mushroom Jazz’ series with “Mushroom Jazz 7″ out now on the glorious format that is the double LP.

Happy Tuesday, I hope everyone enjoyed their flood, we sure did! After a seven-year break, Michelle Wright returns with “Strong”, a collection of relevant, modern country music written almost entirely by herself. Montreal’s acclaimed producer CFCF has released “Music For Objects”, a companion piece to 2012′s “Exercises” written in an effort to translate the language of the objects around us into music. Poison’s Bret Michaels got together with a slew of friends from Jimmy Buffet to Ace Frehley to Lil Jon covering the songs that shaped his career on “Jammin’ With Friends”.
