March 24th, 2014

“The feast of soul classics is more like giving the people what they need.” 4.5/5 — Montreal Gazette

“The album lives up to the title on the cover, backstory or no backstory.” 8/10 — Exclaim!

“The singer’s star quality is the most powerful element. Her raw, raspy voice suggests a life tough-lived and Jones’s appeal is her no-nonsense realness.” 3/4 — NOW Magazine

With their latest album, ‘Give The People What They Want,’ still earning rave reviews around the globe, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings are extending their current tour throughout the summer. After a three-week jaunt to Europe in May, the masters of contemporary R&B return to North America, stopping in Ottawa on June 3, Montreal on June 4, London on June 5, and Toronto on June 6.

These dates will come on the heels of the group’s sold-out shows in Victoria on April 4, Vancouver on April 5, and Winnipeg on April 8.
