NEW ALBUM THE SHIP OUT 29TH APRIL ON WARP/FONTANA NORTH
PRE-ORDER NOW AT BLEEP, ENOSHOP & AMAZON CD | LP

We are proud to present the first music from Brian Eno’s forthcoming solo album, his first since 2012′s Grammy-nominated LUX.

“The Ship” is title track, album opener and thematic core of the album. Running at 21-minutes and built around Eno’s cyclically sung verses, the song builds in ominous drama, snatches of distant voice and creeping electronics.

Eno explains, “The piece started as an Ambient work intended for a multi channel sound installation in Stockholm, but during the making of it I discovered that I could now sing a low C – which happens to be the root note of the piece. Getting older does have a few fringe benefits after all. From that point the work turned into an unusual kind of song…a type I’ve never made before where the vocal floats free, untethered to a rhythmic grid of any kind.”

Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros Share The Olivia Wilde Directed Video For “No Love Like Yours”

March 10th, 2016

BAND ANNOUNCES TOUR DATES WITH STOPS IN TORONTO AND LONDON

PRE-ORDER ALBUM AT: ITUNES | AMAZON

Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros today share their video for the song “No Love Like Yours” which was directed by actress Olivia Wilde and shot in New Orleans; the same city where the band recorded their upcoming album PersonA (out April 15). For a band that has always made spectacular videos, “No Love Like Yours” may be its most visually arresting and provocative to date which is all the more remarkable considering it was shot completely on iPhones.

A good deal of the songs on PersonA were written by all ten band members collectively. Writing would often begin with a member playing his instrument not even knowing where the song would go with principal songwriter and singer Alex Ebert encouraging and directing the song’s shape yielding wonderfully unique ends. It’s little wonder that Rolling Stone wrote that PersonA is the band’s “most risk-taking, freewheeling album yet.” (more…)

Mark Pritchard To Release New Album Under The Sun May 13

FEATURING VOCAL COLLABS WITH THOM YORKE, LINDA PERHACS, BIBIO, AND BEANS (FROM ANTIPOP CONSORTIUM)

Mark Pritchard is set to release Under The Sun on May 13 via Warp Records/Fontana North. His first solo album in five years, boldly re-establishes what an ‘album’ can mean at this point in time. Designed to be listened to in one sitting, Under The Sun achieves what most albums aim for but rarely achieve – perfect synergy. Where the potential of the sum of the parts, the individual tracks, resonate even more fully when experienced as part of the whole album. Under The Sun is one story told in chapters and, as with any good story, the spell is only maintained if you don’t skip to the end.

Pritchard, as usual, defies easy categorization and that is what gives depth and nuance to this work. He draws on the sounds and influences genetically coded in his musical DNA; ambient, nu-wave, avant-garde electronics and folk; but reimagines them through an otherworldly filter that cements Under The Sun somewhere in the future, rather than the past.
