Live And In Stereo captures The Watchmen’s classic line-up, vocalist Daniel Greaves, guitarist Joey Serlin, bassist Ken Tizzard and drummer Sammy Kohn, blasting through songs from their five Gold and Platinum-certified albums that made them one of Canada’s most successful bands of the ’90s. Guitarist Joey Serlin reflects on the live album saying,

DAN THE MAN OF THE WOMBATS ANNOUNCES SECOND SOLO RECORD CIRCADIAN CIRCUS SET FOR RELEASE FEBRUARY 24

February 10th, 2017

Dan The Man

FIRST SINGLE “SOMETHING GOOD”

OUT NOW

Toronto, ON – February 10, 2017 - Today, Daniel Haggis, aka Dan The Man, drummer and multi-instrumentalist in the Liverpool band, The Wombats, has released new single, ”Something Good“. The track comes from his second solo album, Circadian Circus, out February 24 worldwide on Bright Antenna Records.

The song and album were written mostly in between Liverpool and Paris, performed and self-produced by Haggis, recorded and co-produced by Rob Whiteley (Clinic, The Night Cafe, The Wombats) and mastered by Greg Calbi (The National, Tame Impala, Father John Misty).

Haggis on the making of the single and album:

“I wrote ‘Something Good’ in the middle of winter, which in Liverpool isn’t exactly Hawaiian shirts and shorts. The sun goes down around 4pm and vitamin D is in short supply. This setting, coupled with a particularly bad run of events in news reports (and my life) lead to this song being written. It’s a request to the universe (and my own brain) to pump some more positive vibes into the mix and reset the balance, as well as a nod to escapism through fiction whether it’s a book or a film.”

Circadian Circus is a collection of songs from the past four years that made the enigmatic, inexplicable journey from my subconscious and needed a place to rest. It’s an album of acceptance, of coming to terms with things we can’t always control.

I spend most of my time playing drums, keys and making warbling sounds in The Wombats. Over the last few years, whenever we weren’t recording or I had a few days off tour, I would go into the studio in Liverpool and work on ideas I had lying around on my phone or computer, and gradually this album emerged.”

Pre-order Circadian Circus  HERE and receive ”Something Good” immediately.

Haggis’ solo album comes on the heels of The Wombats finishing their world tour supporting their third LP, Glitterbug. The album debuted TOP 5 on the UK Album chart and Billboard 100. The two singles from the album- “Give Me A Try” and “Greek Tragedy”-have almost 55 million streams on Spotify and over 7 million plays on YouTube combined. “Give Me A Try” claimed the #1 spot on AltNation’s Alt18 chart three weeks in row, and is currently TOP 20 at Alternative Radio. The band performed “Greek Tragedy” on Late Night with Seth Meyers and “Give Me a Try,” “Greek Tragedy” and “Jump Into the Fog” on CBS This Morning.
