New Releases – Tuesday, October 7th, 2014

On his 5th studio album ‘You’re Dead!’ LA-based producer Flying Lotus contemplates our pilgrimage into the psychedelic unknown of the infinite afterlife. The record is a fusion of technological innovation and technical virtuosity featuring hugely-talented musicians Herbie Hancock, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Thundercat and more. Available on digital, CD and 2LP vinyl, as well as the 4LP deluxe edition which includes an instrumental version. Nashville’s Music Row Magazine called Victoria Banks “One of the best songwriters in the business” and she proves it on ‘Indigo.’ On her third studio album Victoria lays down 10 songs built from bare-bones midnight recording sessions in her attic that are “things that I need to say.” Listen to the Muskoka-native’s lead single ‘Ruined.’ Recorded in the harsh winters of rural Manitoba comes Jess Reimer‘s new album ‘The Nightjar and the Garden.’ Produced by Blue Rodeo keyboardist Bob Wiseman, Nightjar displays an artist with many facets, unwaveringly connected to the soul of North American music. Listen to the raw beauty of her vocals on lead single ‘Maggie The Retriever (Bang Bang).’
